Multipurpose Venue – Ponte de Sor

Carapax Eugreb is pleased to announce the completion of the canopy for the Multipurpose Venue in Ponte de Sor. This project embodies our vision: transforming challenging concepts into tangible realities, where geometric precision and functionality meet to redefine public spaces, resulting from a rigorous engineering process.

A visibly transformative assembly process

The development of this project in Ponte de Sor went through key stages. Following the consolidation of the steel structure, we moved forward with the installation of the textile membranes. In this intermediate stage, the fabrics were positioned over the structure before the final tensioning. We maintained strict execution standards, ensuring every technical detail contributes to the longevity and excellence of this public infrastructure.

Tensioning: where engineering becomes architecture

We then reached the decisive phase: the tensioning of the membranes. This is the moment where engineering and architecture merge in their highest expression. What were once fabric panels positioned over the structure are now active surfaces, giving the canopy its structural stability and final geometry, revealing a cutting-edge solution for the Multipurpose Venue in Ponte de Sor.

High-Performance materials for long-lasting durability

To ensure maximum efficiency and durability for this new canopy, the PVC Serge Ferrari 602N membrane was selected. This high-performance material ensures not only a refined aesthetic but also the necessary resistance for high-intensity public use.
