Bairro do Hospital Plaza, Madeira
CARAPAX EUGREB developed an innovative solution for the Bairro do Hospital Plaza in Madeira, creating a unique structure inspired by a leaf, composed of 6 supporting pillars. This challenging project involved the complete construction of the edge profile using iron plates, creating a striking and distinctive visual.
The structure was designed with a carefully studied metallization and painting scheme to achieve a C5 Qualicoat finish, highly resistant to the region’s climatic conditions. To ensure perfect adaptation of the fabric, the cutting plan was designed to follow the transverse bracing tubes, ensuring both functionality and aesthetics.
The cover is tensioned through eyelets placed around the entire perimeter, reinforced with a silicone profile. This component was designed to tightly grip the structure with an elastic cord, specially developed for textile architecture, providing resistance and durability to the installation.
The flat fabric used in the project is made from PVC SERGE FERRARI 902 S2, a high-quality material that ensures solar protection and comfort. With an area of 71 m², this structure offers a pleasant and safe environment for the users of the Bairro do Hospital Plaza.
