Urban Requalification – Benavente Historical Centre

4 inverted „Cone“ structures with 4,00 x 6,00 mt of projected area and 7,00 mt of total height. They were an interesting challenge from a technical point of view, having been calculated by CFD, besides having used different pre-tensioning in Warp and Weft in order to obtain the desired membrane shape.

The tensioning system is divided into two zones – at the top it was designed in a linear way and to perfectly follow the shape of the membrane, by means of tubes enclosed in the fabric. At the base a metal piece was designed that connects the Structure to the membrane and does all the tensioning simultaneously by means of rods.
